BPO Strategy Analysis: ATOS Origin Integrates Worldline
Ovum, Oct 2000, Pages: 10
In June 2009 Atos Origin, the French-headquartered IT service firm, announced that it would be integrating its payment services arm, Atos Worldline, into its overall business. To date the two organisations have been separate, due in part to the historical development of Worldline, which was formed through the consolidation of various banking industry joint ventures. However, Atos Origin now believes it is beneficial to integrate Worldline into its broader IT service business both from a technical and operational efficiency standpoint and to improve business development and growth.
This report provides insight into Atos Worldline’s business model. It also analyses Atos Origin’s strategy to align Worldline closer to its main IT service business in the context of an IT service industry that continues to experiment with new business models for BPO service provision.
