This report presents Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volume and value forecasts and a recent quarter review of shipment volume, value, ASP, shipment ranking, and product mix. The report also provides price trends, production locations, shipment destinations, business types by ODM/OEM/OBM, and customer portfolios. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with WiMAX CPE makers.
This report finds that Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volumes continued to see substantial growth due to WiMAX carriers' positive outlooks for subscriber growth in 2010. Meanwhile, the price tags of WiMAX CPE have dropped to a level acceptable to the carriers, which also played an instrumental role in the growth of WiMAX CPE shipment volume. 802.16e products were the predominant shipment by technology, while in terms of function, indoor CPE was the leading shipment, followed by USB dongles. It is forecast that the Taiwanese WiMAX CPE shipment volumes will continue to see significant growth in 2010.
