AIMS & SCOPE
The Journal of Collective Negotiations (formerly Journal of Collective Negotiations in the Public Sector) has recently changed its name to reflect a broadening of its editorial mission. While continuing the focus on public sector collective bargaining issues, the Journal will also be accepting for publication articles, book reviews, and comments that are of interest to a readership beyond those interested primarily in the public sector. In doing so, it is hoped that the loyal readers and contributors interested primarily in the public sector will continue to support the Journal.

The field of industrial and labor relations has as its foundation a broad cross-section of academic disciplines. The broader emphasis of the Journal will include not only articles of practical interest in collective bargaining and human resources, but will also include reports of original research in the academic areas which form the field of industrial and labor relations, including, but not limited to: economics, labor law, organizational behavior, dispute resolution, and historical studies focused on labor-management relations.

In addition to the publication of full-length articles concerning issues of importance in labor- management relations, the Journal is now accepting shorter articles, comments, and book reviews. The comments submitted should be concerning articles published in the Journal and the original authors will be given an opportunity to reply to accepted comments. Book reviews should focus on professional books or text books which deal with subject matter within the editorial mission of the Journal.

The Journal of Collective Negotiations reflects every dimension of today's critical bargaining issues: preparation for bargaining, techniques at the table, arbitration, impasse resolution, language of a completed agreement, contract administration, and laws and regulations pertaining to bargaining. The Journal answers the need for a penetrating look at collective bargaining, and serves as a forum for the interchange of ideas and information among the international community of individuals concerned with the negotiations process.
