The SaaS model is gaining acceptance as a viable alternative for businesses. However—and especially in SMB markets—it has yet to offer enough incentive to move the majority of non-consuming customers into the fold. But, some smaller, lesser-known vendors are focusing on making SaaS solutions more affordable, accessible and flexible.
Ten years after the SaaS model got off the ground, it is gaining acceptance as a viable alternative for businesses to get the application functionality they need to help run their companies. However—and especially in SMB markets—it has yet to offer enough incentive to move the majority of non-consuming customers into the fold. But, several smaller, lesser-known vendors are focusing on making SaaS solutions more affordable, accessible and flexible.
