End-to-End Application Management 2010: An Evolving Story (sponsored by ASG and CA)
Enterprise Management Associates, Dec 2009, Pages: 6
One of the primary outcomes of the budget challenges of the past year is that IT executives are linking automation with application quality. They are turning to management tools as a way to ensure that they are able to deliver quality business applications cost-effectively. Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) research reveals that 'Investigating ways that automation can add efficiency to support practices' is the number one way that executives planned to deal with the economic slowdown. 41% indicated that this was their primary way of addressing budget challenges, and the need to 'spend money to make money' was reinforced in mid-2009 with EMA's Return on Investment (ROI) research.
This Research Note is based on the findings of a November 2009 research survey on end-to-end application management challenges, concerns, and solutions. The survey builds on EMA research conducted throughout 2008 and early 2009. This paper offers an initial, high-level summary of survey highlights, with additional research to be published in a paper entitled 'Application Management Trends, 2010' in early Q1 of 2010.
