AmberPoint has been a leader in the application management market, particularly the Web Services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) segments, since the first release of the AmberPoint Management Foundation (now known as the AmberPoint Management System) in 2002. Initially targeting Web Services monitoring and management, AmberPoint subsequently added business transaction management, application environment auto-discovery, and security over the next few years.
The release of the AmberPoint Governance System (AGS) is the next logical step, and provides an incrementally deployable, cost effective, highly automated, and policy-based application governance solution. AGS gives companies automated visibility to end-to-end execution while reducing the risks of transaction failure or misuse. It also provides better security while eliminating much of the manual labor typically required to monitor, manage, and govern applications throughout the application lifecycle.
