IBM Leverages Cloud with Tivoli Live Managed Services

IBM announced the availability of their initial set of Tivoli Live Managed Service offerings, which will bring the breadth and power of the Tivoli infrastructure management software products to IT users via a remotely hosted Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model – one of the three most common forms of “Cloud” services. Securely hosted at IBM data centers, the Tivoli Live services offer rapid deployment, agent-based or agent-less monitoring, and secure web portal access from virtually anywhere. This new offering lowers the barrier to access Tivoli products for mid-sized organizations who find themselves in need of enterprise-class datacenter management technology but lacking an enterprise-class capital budget and/or the staff to deploy and maintain sophisticated management tools.
