The electricity market consists of the sale of electricity to industrial, commercial, household, transportation, and other end-users, including agricultural. The volume of the market is calculated as the total volume of electricity consumed (in billions of kilowatt hours, kWh), and the market value has been calculated according to average annual electricity prices. Note that 1 TWh is identical to 1 billion kWh, or 1 million MWh. Market shares are calculated on the basis of retail sales to end-users in all segments.
