The Canon Business Solutions companies originally began as four independent organizations marketing Canon’s office equipment and were located in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles. By the end of 1990s, all four independent sales organizations had been bought by Canon USA and became the foundation of the Canon subsidiary sales network. Today, the three Canon Business Solutions companies (East Coast, Central, and West) provide sales, service, and support of Canon’s document management technology. Over 11 years ago a group was formed under Canon Business Solutions called Canon Business Services that offered critical support services including enterprise-wide facilities management. Over time, Canon has used a term called “managed output” which is synonymous to the industry term “managed print services (MPS).”
