EMC's Unified Infrastructure Manager Makes Vblocks Sing
Enterprise Management Associates, Feb 2010, Pages: 2
The joint project between Cisco Systems, EMC, and VMware known as the Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) is bringing a key product to market that is a new and unique - the Vblock. This new modular data center computing architecture element combines the three major infrastructure domains into one integrated solution – computing, storage and networking. And while this new approach to infrastructure could transform the way in which data centers are built, another important opportunity it represents is for a new, tightly integrated approach for managing the hybrid elements and what that could mean for transforming operations practices.
