Key Exhibition Venues in Asia
Business Strategies Group Ltd, Feb 2011, Pages: 18
Executive summary
This is BSG’s annual report summarising developments related to exhibition venues in Asia. The report features detailed tables organised by country outlining each venue’s location, size, year of establishment, number of halls as well as any expansion plans through 2012. In total, over 170 venues are profiled.
The majority of venues in the region are now located in China - home to 96 of the 178 venues in Asia – or 53% of the total. Japan, India and Korea each have 12 venues. Thailand has nine venues and Australia has eight. All other countries have four or less. (See Table 1 for details.)
In terms of total gross square metres, China’s 4,190,520 m2 now accounts for just over 67% of the available space in Asia. The second largest market, Japan (350,606 m2), has considerably less than one tenth the space available in China. Korea ranks third with 286,784 m2 of available space. The only other markets with more than 200,000 m2 are India, Thailand and Singapore. (See Table 1 for details.)
