According to the global economic crime survey released by PricewaterhouseCoopers, half of the companies around the globe had encountered fraud cases, resulting in average direct economic loss up to USD 24 billion, which was 40% up than that of 2005. In the same year, Kroll Consulting Group made an investigation, revealing 80% of the enterprises worldwide had been or were being victimized by commercial fraud. In 2009 reports of employee fraud grew to 21%, twice of the figures prior to 2007. With the advancement of high-tech and Internet, it is undoubtedly that employee fraud taking place in enterprises is becoming increasingly intense, leading to increasing loss, direct or indirect, to the companies.
