IBM’s “Smart Business” and the Cloud: Methodical Build-Out of Products, Partnerships, and Ecosystem

In March of 2010, IBM announced a host of new products and services, as well as a clarification of direction, in support of the company's cloud computing strategy. The announcements addressed services offerings, portfolio additions and enhancements, and a cloud implementation plan based on seven key business workloads. The announcements also unveiled new ecosystem and partnership alliances. In conjunction with these announcements, IBM also outlined multiple entry points onto the cloud, supported by services and technology frameworks addressing the cloud ecosystems of the future.
