Color MFPs Still the Bright Spot of the MFP Market: Worldwide Forecast, 2006-2013

This report examines color MFPs in four categories: desktop or A4-size models; convenience color MFPs that are designed and marketed to produce less than half of their volume in color; fulltime office color MFPs that are designed and marketed to produce more than half of their volume in color; and production color MFPs that are designed for operator-attended environments and high print volumes. Almost all of these MFPs are laser-based, but also includes ink-based models such as HP's Edgeline and Xerox's ColorQube models in this analysis.
Shipment growth was down for all color MFPs in 2009, from desktop to production models. However, shipment growth will be robust in this market segment through 2013.
