Summary
The need to achieve environmental sustainability and reduce carbon footprint is driving major power consuming companies towards alternate sources of energy. Google, one of the major Internet search engines, consumes a large amount of power for its day to day operations. The company is pursuing its investments towards renewable energy sources to reduce its carbon footprint as well as diversifying its business as an energy trader.
