The Lean Six Sigma Guide to Doing More With Less: Cut Costs, Reduce Waste, and Lower Your Overhead
John Wiley and Sons Ltd, Feb 2010, Pages: 327
In the last 8-10 years Lean Six Sigma has emerged as one of the most prevalent methodologies to enable process improvement and its related benefits. Organizations of all types and sizes have implemented Lean Six Sigma to affect cultural transformation and improve bottom line performance. While Lean Six Sigma is no less effective in enabling enterprise transformation today than it was a decade ago, fewer organizations have the patience and fortitude required to sustain the journey. Given the state of the economy and its adverse affects on multiple business sectors, companies are now intently focused on reducing operating cost in the least time possible. While there are several levers that enable enterprise cost reduction the focus of this book is on the process lever and to provide an understanding of how overall costs can be reduced by applying Lean Six Sigma with focus and precision.
