The report finds that Taiwanese Smartphone shipment volume's double-digit year-on-year growth in the fourth quarter of 2009 continued into the first quarter of 2010. ASP (Average Selling Price) of the Taiwanese Smartphone industry that fell below US$300 in the third quarter of 2009 and declined further in the fourth quarter of 2009 managed to remain stable in the first quarter of 2010. It is anticipated that the industry's shipment volume and value will see double-digit sequential and year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2010.
