The stunning success of Apple in the handset market has made them the darlings of the industry. The wireless world is their oyster, so to speak. There is great anticipation that they will move on and be successful in the CMDA marketplace (with Verizon), once their sales exclusivity agreement with ATT is complete (which ends later this year).
While there have been preliminary announcements of product plans with Verizon, to date, there has no product announcements or details. This paper will examine what is happening here and speculate on the reasons for what we are observing.
