Proceedings of an International Conference on Solid - Solid Phase Transformations in Inorganic Materials 2005, Volume 2, Displacive Transformations
John Wiley and Sons Ltd, May 2010, Pages: 1,152
This book contains two volumes of the latest developments in diffusional and displacive phase transformations in materials. It also delves into the emerging areas of phase transformations research, such as transformations in nano- and constrained-systems as well as computer modeling of phase transformations. It covers recent advances in the fundamental aspects of solid-to-solid phase transformations in inorganic materials by making critical comparisons between experiment, theory and simulation in metals, ceramics, minerals and other materials. Traditional topics, such as order/disorder reactions and precipitation, are examined as well as experimental techniques, such as atom probe field ion microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction, and new methods of microstructural simulation in both diffusional and displacive phase transformations.
From the Solid-to-Solid Phase Transformation in Inorganic Materials Conference which was held in Phoenix, Arizona, May 29 - June 3, 2005.
