This report presents shipment volume and value forecast and recent quarter review of the Taiwanese WLAN industry. The report examines MAC/BB+RF volume, value, ASP, shipment volume and share by maker and technology, shipment volume and share by interface, and ASP by technology. The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with WLAN component makers. The report finds that WLAN NIC shipment volume saw double-digit sequential growth in the fourth quarter of 2009. It was projected that notebook and netbook PC shipment volume will still experience double-digit increase in the future, contributing to the continuous growth of WLAN NIC shipment volume in 2010. With the rebound of demand from the North American and Western European markets and other factors, it is forecasted that WLAN AP shipment will also see further growth in 2010.
