CEA’s annual Household CE Ownership and Market Potential study explores U.S. household ownership and market potential for several CE products including: HDTVs, LCD TVs, Blu-ray disc players, DVRs, MP3 players, MP3 player docking stations, gaming consoles, smartphones, laptop computers, netbooks, eReaders, surround sound systems and soundbars.

The study assesses household penetration of key CE technologies, calculates installed base estimates and quantifies purchase intentions. Household purchase intentions are segmented between first-time and repeat buyers, to provide an estimate of future demand.
