Highlights of this title
The US economy is gradually recovering, with the corporate sector taking the lead on the performance side. Consequently, financial health is improving and the amount of charge-offs from the corporate sector began to decline in Q1 2010. In general, this trend is expected to remain for the foreseeable future.
The banking industry's earnings recovery seems to be on track. However, the improvement is a result of declining losses rather than the generation of new revenues. First quarter earnings show a significant year-on-year improvement. However, the figures are still historically low.
