It operates through two product lines namely Reserve Power and Motive Power. EnerSys also offers related products such as chargers, power equipment and battery accessories. In addition, the company provides related after-market and customer-support services for industrial batteries. EnerSys manages its business operations in three geographic segments Americas, Europe and Asia. The Americas segment includes North and South America; Europe includes Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Asia, includes Asia, Australia and Oceania. EnerSys markets and sell its products globally to over 10,000 customers in more than 100 countries with plants strategically located throughout North and South America, Europe and Asia. The company is headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, the US.
Recently, the company acquired industrial battery business from Douglas Battery Manufacturing Co. which manufactures and sells industrial batteries and chargers. It also acquired the industrial battery businesses of the Swiss company Accu Holding AG and ABSL Power Solutions Ltd., a supplier of lithium-ion battery.
