The current projects of the MPPA includes, Campbell No. 3 project, Belle River project, Combustion Turbine, Power Pool project, Transmission Project and Dispatch Project, Campbell No.3 and Belle River projects are coal fired generating plants while Combustion Turbine #1 project is a natural gas fired peaking generating unit with installed capacity of 50 megawatt (MW). The Power Pool project allows the community members to pool in their generating resources and electric loads. The dispatch project facilitates the purchase of energy and capacity from third parties for sale to its members. The agency also operates a transmission project under which it purchased an undivided ownership in certain transmission lines. MPPA is headquartered in Michigan, the US.
