Writing in July 2010, we have been able to ensure that this report includes actual data for the Czech Republic’s insurance sector for calendar 2009. According to the Czech Insurers Association (CAP), total premiums amounted to CZK139,915mn.
This includes non-life premiums of CZK80,761mn and life premiums of CZK59,154mn. In 2014, the corresponding figures should be CZK179,189mn, CZK111,572mn and CZK67,617mn.respectively. In terms of the key drivers that underpin our forecasts, we expect non-life penetration to rise from 2.22% in 2009 to 2.42% in 2014, and life density to rise from US$299 per capita to US$360.
