AGL Resources Inc.(AGL), a natural gas distribution services provider, entered into a 50:50 joint venture agreement with El Paso Corporation (EL Paso), an oil and gas exploration and production company, to establish the Southeast LNG Distribution Company (Southeast LNG), for the distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the South East region of the US.
The new joint venture will provide distribution facilities and gas supply contracts to both the private and public sectors. The new company will be headed by President Bruce H. Hughes, who recently served as the director of business development with the Southern Natural Gas Company, a subsidiary of El Paso Corporation.
