Embarcadero XE: Cross-Platform DB Development and Administration Enhances Database Product Lineup

In May of 2010, Embarcadero Technologies took “ease of use” to the next level across its flagship product line with Embarcadero® XE. XE delivers consolidated support for multiple databases and database versions from a common user interface. It also takes full advantage of Embarcadero’s previously announced All-Access™ and ToolCloud™ technologies to simplify license management and tools deployment. These enhancements simplify the day to day work of database developers and Database Administrators (DBAs) responsible for implementing and managing heterogeneous databases.
All-Access and ToolCloud deliver a self-service deployment model that is notable for lightweight administration and simplicity of access. XE simplifies the daily work of IT professionals utilizing Embarcadero products. Embarcadero has also re-worked its pricing model such that companies which have considered Embarcadero products in the past may well want to take another look.
