Russian Market of Industrial Metal Construction

RMR (a division of “IndexBox”) carried out a survey among the largest producers of industrial metal constructions with the purpose of describing the current situation of the market in times of economic crisis. Based on the information gathered, and on a report, prepared one year earlier, the marketing research on the metal construction market in the Russian Federation report has been renewed.
The aim of the marketing research is to describe the current situation in the metal construction production sector, to evaluate the influence of the economic crisis on the work of the leading companies in the sector.
According to the RMR study, the production volume of steel building constructions in 2007-2008 stood at the level of 1 million tons. In 2009, a profound decline in the output was seen - in the first 8 months the production was decreased by 28%. Analysis of monthly dynamics for 8 months of 2009 suggests that the current level will continue falling until the end of this year, and production volume will amount to 776.6 thousand tons. In August, the highest production volume this year was seen - 70 thousand tons and the month-to-month dynamics had an upward trend.
