Key Highlights Highlights
The Polish construction industry registered a strong growth over the review period mainly because of large investments made in infrastructure and industrial construction markets. The EU accession of Poland in May 2004 resulted in large amount of the EU financial grants for several infrastructure projects in Poland. Poland, which had been under-developed prior to the EU accession, is required to catch-up with the other developed EU members on several fronts and hence the EU supported it with large amounts of funds. With Poland becoming an EU member, the risk of business and investment associated with it decreased and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is expected to witness a strong growth in years to come. The Polish construction industry that grew at a CAGR of 16.93% over the review period is expected to witness a CAGR of 12.37% over the forecast period.
