Barite Market in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan (2005 - 2009)

The report is devoted to investigation of barite market in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan and covers period 2005-2009. This work is based mainly on desk study, which results were obtained by expert analysis of official statistics, publications in mass media, press-releases of companies producing and consuming feldspar as well as their annual and quarterly reports. Besides to verify and correct some data telephone interviews with representatives of barite producers were conducted. The report consists of 6 Sections; contains 73 pages, including 20 Figures, 34 Tables and Appendix.
The first Section of the report presents brief characteristics of global market of barite, including data on its production in various countries in 2005-2009, data on barite consumption pattern in USA and dynamics of prices on barite for the latest 5 years.
The second Section is devoted to analysis of resources base of barite in Russia (data on reserves in 2009), Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The third Section is devoted to analysis of barite production. It describes production technology of barite products and requirements, imposed on quality of the products. The Section presents statistical data on barite ore mining and barite concentrates production in Russia and Kazakhstan in 2005-2009; submits description of current situation of leading barite producers, including data on range of the products, volumes and destinations of supplies, prices, etc.
The forth Section is devoted to foreign trade operations in barite analysis in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. It includes statistics on volumes of operations in bulk and money terms, regional structure of exports and imports of barite, data on volumes and destinations of the supplies by the main exporters and importers.
The fifth Section is devoted to analysis of barite consumption. The Section presents supply-demand balance of barite in 2005-2009 in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, sectoral consumption pattern of barite concentrates in Russia.
The sixth, final Section of the report presents forecast of barite market development in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan till 2012.
The Appendix contains addresses and contact information on the main barite producers.
