Familiarity, Use, and Demand for Home Networks: 2010
The Diffusion Group, Sep 2010, Pages: 39
The home networking industry is at a crossroads. As the “connected CE” market heats up, replacement sales continue, yet first-time network buyers are dwindling. The reason for this? Of the over 55% of non-networked broadband homes, most simply have no desire to buy one. Lack of understanding of the benefits of home network loom high, which indicates shortcomings in market communication, education, and messaging if consumers are unaware of what home networks are and do and the benefits they provide the likelihood of first-time purchase remains insignificant.
This report offers insight into home network ownership and use among broadband households; offers a detailed demographic profile of current networked heads-of-household; and discusses purchase proclivities among both network owners and non-owners. It will provide you with a research-based description of the consumers that use or are likely to use home networks.
