Liquid Fuels 2010: Incorporating Synthetic Fuels
Creamer Media, Oct 2010, Pages: 35
South Africa only hosts small deposits of oil and gas, as a result, the country imports the majority of its refinery feedstock. The bulk of its oil imports come from the Middle East, with Saudi Arabia and Iran as its chief suppliers.
However, South Africa is trying to diversify its sources of imported crude, as well as reduce its dependence on oil imports.
This report examines the state of the liquid fuels sector, highlighting issues such as the global liquid fuels market, South Africa's crude oil refining capacity, synthetic fuels production and security of liquid fuels supply.
