The first two editions of Good Faith and Insurance Contracts set out and contain exhaustive analysis of the law concerning the duty of utmost good faith as applied to insurance contracts. The third edition has been updated to include references to new case law, any changes in the regulatory regime, and discussion on the movements towards law reform which have been undertaken over the past 3 years.

The book is the only text book devoted to a discussion of the duty of utmost good faith applicable to insurance contracts. As good faith is an issue which arises in respect of all insurance contracts, it is a book which is of use to all insurance practitioners.

Updates to the previous edition include;

- Consideration of an additional 50 authorities
- The post-contractual duty of good faith, in particular as regards claims
- Updates on legislation affecting the duty of Good Faith
- Law reform

Further, the book's goal is to synthesise all known judicial decisions (at least those handed down by the English Courts) concerning good faith in this area.

'This new 3rd edition, in 600 pages and 19 chapters, incorporates references to new case law, to changes in the regulatory regime, and up-to-date discussion on the movements towards the reform of the law in this area over the past 3 years since the publication of the 2nd edition. Particularly interesting is the chapter on issues affecting conflict of laws and dispute resolution which is so relevant today.'
-- An appreciation by Phillip Taylor MBE and Elizabeth Taylor of Richmond Green Chambers.
