Foreign Currency and the Law
Informa Law, Oct 2011
Foreign Currency and the Law will offer all the information and advice needed by any practitioner in advancing, or defending against, any elements of a claim for debt, damages for breach of contract or in tort, involving a foreign currency. This book will also cover related matters such as shares in funds and insolvency.
Throughout, distinct topics such as a claim for a debt, or a claim for damages for breach of contract, will be highlighted and the reader will be taken through the governing principles and procedures for making or defending against such a claim, including explaining the factors relating to a recovery or payment of interest. The decisions reached and features of the leading cases which have a current law element will be discussed and the book will highlight aspects of decisions about which there may be conflicting academic views.
