HP Steps up its CMS Strategy with UCMDB 9.0

Quietly, but with a clear and consistent architectural direction, HP has made significant enhancements in UCMDB 9.0 that span a wide range of capabilities, many of which center around improved usability and administration and enhanced support for federation. Among the more striking innovations is support for its BTO Data Model (BDM) which provides a true, model-centric approach to federated data access for a wide variety of service management disciplines. Coupled with meaningful advances in the UCMDB Modeling Studio and Integration Studio, HP’s CMS strategy has become broader in scope and richer in integrations (including third party integrations) than many in the industry realize.
