One of a Kind, Comprehensive Business of Radiology Course
The Business of Radiology program will develop and disseminate educational content that is relevant and meaningful to clinical practice through activities designed to enhance physicians’ knowledge, competence, and performance for improved patient care. This activity will enhance physician’s knowledge and skills such that they can provide radiology services to patients in a more efficient, cost-effective, profitable manner. They will be able to supply care to more patients at higher quality through implementation of suggestions made in this course.
Target Audience
This educational activity will focus on recent graduates from radiology training programs that are entering the work force without a basic understanding of those business principles needed to conduct radiology practices. It will also target business administrators and hospital administrators who deal with radiology services. Trainees in residencies, fellowships, radiology technology schools, MBA programs, health services programs will benefit from this program as well. This will apply to both private practice and academic based radiologists from all fields of the specialty.
Objectives
At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply business principles that lead to a more efficient and profitable radiology practice - Interpret guidelines for credentialing, certification, fraud avoidance, and malpractice prevention that ensure high physician quality performance - Employ leadership skills, expense management, collection-accounts receivable guidelines, quality assurance tenets, and efficiency guidelines that will lead to more effective provision of patient care
Accreditation
Oakstone Medical Publishing is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Designation
Oakstone Medical Publishing designates this enduring material for a maximum of 16.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 1 SAM Credit. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Malpractice: Insurance and Reduction of Risk Self-Assessment Module is qualified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program. Date of ABR qualification, March 24, 2010.
