Capture Share Report – Asia Pacific SAP Services Providers

The Asia Pacific SAP Services Capture Share report allows readers to understand and assess the overall key strengths and weaknesses of 14 leading SAP services providers in the diverse Asia Pacific region. It does this through the analysis of 17 key attributes required by successful services providers. This report highlights that whilst there is a range of SAP services providers with a range of skills and capabilities, leadership for AP SAP Services sits clearly with Accenture slightly ahead of IBM.
Clearly one of the key objectives for starting out capioIT has been to provide clients with innovation and a different and unique perspective on technology in emerging markets. One of the ways in which I am doing this is with the Capture Share document. This is a tool that is designed to help vendors understand their position in the market in comparison with their competition and to allow enterprises to readily understand the strength and weaknesses of their potential services providers.
It is a tool that will evolve over time, however, the focus is clear. It is looking to understand how a firm can transform clients through investment in R&D, solutions etc, and how a firm can leverage capability to maximise their market position and client satisfaction. This is measured in metrics such as partnering, scale of resources and delivery partnerships.

- Capture Share reports are based on the analysis of 17 key capabilities and attributes of services providers. These attributes are focused in two key areas, Transform and Leverage.
- In order to undertake the appropriate level of analysis and data integrity, the individual attributes are weighted in percentage terms on the basis of their overall influence for the Transform and Leverage capabilities.
- Clearly data and process integrity are a critical component of a report of this type. It is fundamental that the data be valid and untarnished. To help ensure this, all information for the measurement and assessment of these attributes comes from a range of sources to ensure a range of opinions. Sources of information include vendor briefings and meetings, media sources, the IT services ecosystem and specific end-user feedback.
The first Capture Share document completed is focused on the Asia Pacific SAP Services market. It is ranking 14 vendors in this marketplace on the 17 attributes of the Capture Share process. This is the first of many. Over time capture share documents will look to cover large markets in individual markets, e.g. Infrastructure Services in ASEAN, or discrete markets at the regional level, e.g. SAP services.
