This study of nearly 400 learning, talent management, and line of business professionals conducted between August and October 2010 explores the tools, processes and capabilities that top performing organizations are implementing to achieve their learning and business performance goals.

Best-in-Class Performance

Aberdeen used the following three key performance criteria to distinguish Best-in-Class companies:

- 89% of organizational KPIs or MBOs were achieved in the previous year, as compared to only 59% of Laggards
- 86% of new hires met their first performance milestones on-time, as compared to only 55% of Laggards
- 75% of employees were rated "exceeds expectations" in their most recent performance review, as compared to 22% of Laggards
