Demand for arterial catheters has increased in recent years. The market was valued at two million euros in 2009 of which over two-thirds were accounted for by radial catheters. Plastimed/Prodimed and Vygon dominate the market, together representing 90 per cent of sales in 2009. Arrow/Teleflex is another significant supplier.
