LATAM Telecoms investment review and forecasts 2010-2014
Onda Analytics Limited, March 2011, Pages: 63
Latin America contains a large set of emerging markets targeted by some of the world's leading operators. Aside from the region's homegrown giant, America Movil, operators such as Telefónica, Telecom Italia and Portugal Telecom all have significant interests in the region. Operators in the region have been largely focused on rolling out 3G networks in recent years, as mobile penetration has reached or neared 100% in many markets. This has enabled operators to launch new value added services, including the provision of mobile broadband. Operators now face the challenge of monetising these investments and maximising market share through attractive offers and bundles.
This report considers how Latin America's mobile market dynamics have evolved in recent years, providing KPIs includings subscribers, penetration, ARPU and revenue for markets and individual operators across 17 markets (including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela). The report also highlights the progress made in technology evolution for mobile data services and considers how current rollouts and upcoming spectrum licence auctions will change the market over the next few years.
