Italian Market for Dental Prosthetics and CAD/CAM Devices 2011
iData Research, March 2011, Pages: 84
The Italian market for dental prosthetics was the second largest market in Europe in 2010. Italy had the fourth largest population in the European Union, with 60.1 million people. The Italian oral healthcare system depends on local priorities, and thus varies greatly from township to township. There are two components of the Italian dental care system. In the case of surgery or a similar intervention, hospital care is free of charge. Dental prosthetics, however, are mostly placed by private dental practice. In Italy, the dental patient population is very heavily driven by the aesthetics of dental restorations and all-ceramics are especially popular.
This report also includes the following market segments: - Crown and Bridge Market - Denture Market - CAD/CAM System Market - CAD/CAM Block and Prosthetic Market
The aging population and demand for superior dental aesthetics are driving the prosthetics market. The global economic recession of 2008 and 2009 resulted in a slowdown in total market growth; however, the market began to recover in 2010 and is expected to experience accelerating growth by 2017. CAD/CAM manufactured prosthetics are expected to represent the fastest growing segment while the CAD/CAM system market will exhibit high unit growth rates over the forecast period.
This report provides a comprehensive and detailed analysis of market revenues by device type, market forecasts through 2017, unit sales, average selling prices, market drivers and limiters and a detailed competitive analysis, including manufacturer market shares and product portfolios.
