AUO is the third largest manufacturer of large-sized TFT-LCD panels in the world with a market share of 15.1(b). AUO`s LCD monitor panel is ranked third while general display panel is ranked second in terms of global market share. As for small-to-medium sized TFT-LCD panels, AUO`s digital video camera panel is ranked second while general AV and digital still camera panels both are ranked third in global market share(c). Additionally, in September 2003, AUO unveiled its 46 inches HDTV LCD TV panel with the world-leading specification, which was also Taiwan`s first LCD TV panel larger than 40 inches
