Located in Boston`s South End neighborhood, Boston Medical Center offers a full spectrum of health care services, from prenatal care and obstetrics to surgery and rehabilitation. Boston Medical Center is also the city`s largest provider of indigent care, spending more than a quarter of a billion dollars on care for uninsured patients and offering free screenings and other community outreach programs. The hospital boasts more than 550 licensed beds and includes a Level 1 trauma center, acute rehabilitation facilities, and neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. The center is the primary teaching hospital of Boston University`s School of Medicine.
