Alcoholic Drinks Packaging in Poland
Euromonitor International, Nov 2010, Pages: 39
In 2010, total packaging volume consumed in alcoholic drinks decreased. This was due to shrinking volume size in the two largest alcoholic categories – domestic lager and white spirits. In lager beer, the drop in sales was caused by an increase in excise tax and growth in the average price of beer. Economic slowdown was also a factor behind decreasing consumption of beer and white spirits. Poles’ reduced expenditure on alcoholic drinks inevitably caused decrease in the use of packaging.
