Tobacco Packaging in the United Kingdom
Euromonitor International, Dec 2010, Pages: 42
In October 2009, British American Tobacco (BAT) broke ranks with standard cigarette pack sizes by changing its Pall Mall brand from a 20-stick pack to a ‘wallet-friendly' 19-stick pack (folding carton). This move allowed BAT to maintain a low price for its budget Pall Mall brand, but at least one major supermarket chain temporarily delisted the product in protest at the reduced pack size.
