Missouri School District Ratings Continue To Exhibit Stable Trend May 06

Abstract
Missouri school districts exhibit a constant stable rating trend that has remained intact even during a period when the state's economy became sluggish and state aid to districts was cut in midfiscal 2003 and withheld until late into fiscal 2004. Since 2000, no district rating has been lowered, while eight have been raised. This rating stability or positive rating movement is attributed to many of the reasons that are factored into each respective district's rating, such as stable local economies, good management, or strong community support for referendum measures.
