Government-Related Entities Rated Globally By Standard & Poor's Dec 10

Abstract Standard & Poor's Ratings Services currently rates just under 680 government-related entities (GREs) around the world (see table 1). GREs are entities whose credit quality could potentially be affected by extraordinary government intervention during periods of stress. They are often partially or totally controlled by a government (or governments) and they contribute to implementing policies or delivering key services to the population.
