It's Business As Usual For U.S. Telecom And Cable Companies On The Network Neutrality Front

Abstract
With the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) new rules on Internet competition and broadband industry practices facing an array of challenges in the U.S. Congress and in the courts?-including hearings this week in a House subcommittee, and subsequent resolution by the subcommittee to disapprove the network neutrality rules?-the ultimate fate of these regulations remains uncertain. However, even if the rules go into effect in their present form later this year, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services believes they will not affect our ratings or outlook on any rated telecommunications, cable-TV, or satellite video providers.
