S&P Corrects Rating On William Street Commitment Corp. By Lowering It To 'A' Mar 11

Abstract
NEW YORK (Standard & Poor's) March 21, 2011--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it has corrected its counterparty credit rating on William Street Commitment Corp. (WSCC) by lowering it, based on guaranteed support by The Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS). We lowered the rating to 'A/Negative/A-1' from 'A+/Stable/A-1'. The rating on WSCC is based on support from GS. We upgraded GS to 'AA-' from 'A+' on Oct. 27, 2006, and subsequently downgraded it to 'A' on Dec. 19, 2008.
