European Photovoltaic Module Price Monitor
Eupd Research, Feb 2011, Pages: 70
Besides the cost situation of a company and consumer demand, market-orientated pricing is most importantly determined by the competitive situation within a market. Recent studies of the German Photovoltaic market demonstrate that price is a deciding factor for both installers as well as end customers. In the first half of 2009, the prices for Photovoltaic products decreased considerably due to various causes, e.g. the downturn of the Spanish market.
In the future, PV module prices will certainly be subject to further price fluctuations. For this reason, the quarterly survey “European Photovoltaic Module Price Monitor” can provide decision makers with essential information for a market and customer conform pricing in Germany, Italy, Spain and France:
- Purchase prices of the three module technologies (monocrystalline, polycrystalline, thin film technologies) and their shares in the total market volume - Differences in purchase prices according to model origins, namely: domestic brand manufacturers, foreign brand manufacturers and no-name products - Current system sales prices for rooftop PV systems - New: module prices of the most used brands - New: forecast scenario of price development for three module technologies for the next three and six months - New: analysis of price differences between certain groups of installers - Shared Services – Be part of an exclusive client group and receive profound market information at a preferential price
